Dream of Seahawks

The Seahawks are playing tonight, a pre-season game against the Raiders.  A normal game for so many, but tonight’s game for Georgia is WAY more important, WAY cooler, WAY more special.  This was her Dream.  Thanks to the generosity of so many people, the hard work of all of our team members at Get Hitched Give Hope and the WONDERFUL people at Dream Foundation we were able to make Georgia’s Dream of seeing the Seahawks come TRUE!

Georgia grew up in Bremerton watching and loving the Seahawks, always cheering from afar but has never been able to afford a ticket to the game.  Georgia was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer at the very young age of 52, when she learned of her diagnosis she wrote to the Dream Foundation and told them about her love of Mama Blue, Marshawn Lynch and her wish to attend a game and cheer for her favorite team in person.  Well – we couldn’t just send her to the game, we had to take it to the next level!!  Georgia & Jane are staying three nights at the Alexis Hotel, having dinner at Canlis, visiting the stadium where a generous donor has given them great seats and $300 to spend on whatever they want (hopefully so many fun Seahawks swagalicious items!) and thanks to the connections through the photo community (Jane & Benj, you are RAD!) Georgia & Jane will be ON THE SIDELINES – they get to GO ON THE FIELD!!!!  How cool is that?!?!

Life is not always fair, or great – but it’s moments like this when giving just a little makes such a BIG difference in someone’s world –  moments that are fun and exciting can help you forget your troubles, and enjoy the time you have on this earth.

Thank you to the Dream Foundation for being the best partner and to all of our Get Hitched, Give Hope supporters – it’s moments like this that remind us of why we work so hard all year.

Georgia & Jane were THRILLED with all of the excitement of the day, the fun package of Seattle SWAG and of course, our trademark CONFETTI celebration makes everything better!!   We sent them off with a little tailgating goody bag, TopPot Doughnuts, Hilliards 12th Can Beer & confetti guns!!
