BNI Business Spotlight ~ The Madison Marketeers!

If you have ever been in Madison Park on a Wednesday and stopped by the Starbucks on 40th & Madison around lunch time you will notice, the energy is a little higher, there is a LOT of laughter and clapping going on behind those swinging doors and I am told that the patrons of the main store are just a little happier that day, sales are a little higher for the staff and babies cry less.  Okay, I made that last one up – hee hee BUT who doesn’t love applause?  Really!  When you attend a meeting of BNI people clap after you talk and I LOVE it!    Which is why we are referred to as “The Clappers”  and people always want to know who we are and what we are doing in there.  Well – now is your chance to learn, tell your friends and even come to visit!

You got it – today is Wednesday – the greatest day, (Pilates with Nicole @ Kiniseo) and BNI with all of the people you have been reading about at the Starbucks in Madison Park.   Since April of this year I have been telling you about a different member each week, you’ve been able to see a photo and read a little bit about who they are & what they do.  Now its time to come and visit!!! We only have 4 more members to introduce you to and I think we should do it in person!!

So, consider this your invitation (just in case you don’t get one in the mail!).

When: September 16th, 2009  (that’s wednesday of course!)

Where: The Starbucks in Madison Park  4000 E. Madison St, Seattle, WA 98112

Prepare: Bring LOTS of business cards 30-50 and any promotional material you have to share – oh, and you will have a minute to stand up, tell us who you are, what you do and how we can help you.  (its easy!)

RSVP: Lucinda O’Halloran –  lucinda@spiritgardendesign.com

I’m sure you are wondering WHO exactly I am talking to – you silly!! Even though there is only one profession per chapter its great to get out meet new business owners – extend your network, meet people who are genuinely interested in helping you grow your business.  (Its the giver’s gain theory)  Its a great idea to learn about BNI – networking – and growing by giving even if this isn’t the “best” time for you to join.   We’ve all learned its never the perfect time for anything – just put yourself out there!!

So, businesses we are specifically looking for:  (if you know them, please forward this invite onto them!)

Hair Dresser, Graphic Designer, Caterer, (ehem! KATE! cough!) Health Insurance, Interior Designer (ede… i know you read this, we miss you!) Auto Mechanic, (Tony w/ affordable tire and brake, can you hear me?!?) event planner, (here is some pressure – I know there are a lot of you girls out there who would really benefit from coming!!  plus, we have christopher flowers!!) printer,  (everyone in the group has printing needs!) architechtural photographer, Pre Paid Legal, Banker – TIM! Get over here!  (you know…. not to put anyone on the spot!  hee hee!!)

BNI has been a big part of my personal and business life. It has not only helped our business grow but I have made amazing friendships. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to grow their business and who appreciates relationships. Thanks to everyone in the Madison Marketeers for your support. JenReplyCancel

I stumbled upon your blog when searching on Google for something totally unrelated, but I am very intrigued about this group! Do you already have a residential home builder in your group? If not, we’d love to look into joining you. Even if you do, can I come to the meeting to learn more from you? Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Thank you,
