Twenty amazing years ago, Lisa saw a cute boy at a party – to get his attention she told him a bad joke and he laughed. That was the moment she knew – Steve was the man for her. Being so young when they were married they didn’t have the big white wedding Lisa dreamed of – while they raised their three girls they often talked of “when we have our wedding” and talked about all the details of how they wanted to plan the party.
A few months back Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer, she battled it with everything she had – but was given the stage 4 diagnosis… the cancer had spread. Lisa has some amazing support, her loving family & her long time friends from work – they found out about Brides Against Breast Cancer & The Making Memories Foundation and told them Lisa’s story. It took only three weeks to put everything together & on Valentines day 2009 – that was the day Lisa & Steve had their dream wedding!
When the girls & I at Get Hitched Give Hope heard about Lisa & Steve we knew we had to help! (BABC & MMF are the places we donate the money raised from our October Soiree) So Eliza & I grabbed our cameras and headed over to Port Orchard to photograph this amazing event.
Lisa, Steve & the girls were more than welcoming! We felt like family by the end of the day!
Here are a few photos from the day,
There were a few articles written about this big day – in the Kitsap Sun – The South Sound Wedding Magazine, Eliza Truitt Photography, Ethereal Events

You and Eliza did a wonderful job photographing this whole happy whirlwind for Lisa and Steve! I wish I could have been there. You two are the most generous people I know, and I’m so proud to be involved with such a fabulous group of ladies!
