Go Red for Women – The American Heart Association

Heart disease can hit anywhere, anytime and is the number one killer of women, it will take the life of one in three women this year.  Think of all of the ladies in your life – your Mom, your sister, your wife – take a minute to tell them you love them, you never know when they will be gone.

I feel so lucky to have been able to work on this campaign for the American Heart Association – Go Red for Women!  It has been an honor to photograph these beautiful, strong and generous women, they have shared their time, their stories and helped raise awareness to so many.  Their annual luncheon is coming up in just two short weeks, March 26th – Here is a link we would love to see you there!!

My heart goes out to Cecily & her family (pictured lower right) we lost Cecily in late February – she battled her heart condition bravely and always with a big smile – she was a warm and generous person, I feel incredibly  lucky to have known her & have the opportunity to photograph her.  It was more than obvious to see how much she loved her husband and children.  With tears in my eyes I share this post and want to remind you, life is precious – and sometimes far too short.  Hug the people you love & if you see someone without a smile – share yours with them.   Rest in peace Cecily – you were and always will be – loved.
