Saturday was an exciting day – I donated a few hours to photograph a wonderful charity auction over on Mercer Island. The event was put together by the wonderful members of Soroptimist and their goal was to raise 40k to build a new children’s playground at the Catherine Booth House. The Catherine Booth house is a confidential emergency shelter for women & children escaping domestic violence.
It was a great experience witnessing first hand all of the people in the community who donated their sunny Saturday afternoon to help such a fabulous cause!

The event was held at the Mercer Island Community Center
The girls from a local drill team donated their time to help set up and to sell raffle tickets!
There were great places throughout the afternoon where you could donate.
Holly & Kimber were in charge of this particular event.
