Catherine + Ross // Engagement Portraits

I knew from the minute Catherine and I met that she could quite possibly be the sweetest person on the planet and that we would definitely be friends!  She told me all about Ross, how they met and their first date at a cafe, all about their wonderful children and  I just knew I would adore him too!  Last week when we set out to do their engagement session, we started at their home – they  had originally planned to have the wedding there, but as they often do – the renovations will not be finished in time so instead we started their engagement session there and just walked around the neighborhood.  WHAT a beautiful area they live in!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the morning, I hope you love them too!

This first shot really reminds me of why I love my job so much… I take photos of people living their lives, this is important not for today (don’t get me wrong, it is fun for today) but for 10, 15, 20 years from now…. to look back and see how far you’ve come.  How young and beautiful and in love and really be able to see how much has changed and how much has stayed the same.  Catherine & Ross love their home – they are renovating it and making it their own and I cannot wait to see the changes that will happen this year 2015 – the year they are getting married!  Think of 2025 – what will it look like then?!

Barbie, you’ve captured them so well. the love that radiates between them is so obvious. As Catherine’s mother, I am grateful to you for the gift you’ve given me in these photos.ReplyCancel
