Hello Wednesday!! We are more than halfway through our fabulous BNI spotlight project and I am VERY excited today to bring you Catherine Parker of Acupuncture in the Park. I met Catherine about 4 1/2 years ago when she came to visit our BNI group, we could tell immediately (and you will too) that she is an amazing woman. Beautiful, honest, well spoken, very intelligent – the kind of person we all strive to be! Over the years I have been lucky enough to photograph her & her family in a few different settings and really get to know her. One of my favorite things about Catherine is that she really walks the talk!! When she gives advice, she always researches the answer (so well read) and best yet – she follows her own advice and lives a healthy lifestyle. Catherine is an inspiring woman and I feel lucky to have her as my acupuncturist and friend.
So last week, Catherine & I met for lunch at Cafe Flora (the greatest veggie restaurant EVER!) and snapped a few photos, here is one of my favorite:
A little info first please:

Now – tell us more!
1) How long have you been in your business? How about BNI? This is my 5th year in business & I’ve been in BNI for 4 ½ years. (and I love it!)
2) What made you choose to join the Madison Marketeers? The location made it an easy choice & Bastyr (where I received my education) informed us that it would be a great idea to help grow our businesses. Although I really made my decision when I met Leslie who was giving chair massage at Pharmaca and she invited me to visit. (Thank You Leslie!)
3) What has BNI done for your business? BNI really helped me get my business on track with my logo, website, public speaking – not to mention the referrals!
4) What are your goals? I really strive for balance in my life – always learning and advancing in the things I love most.
5) What do you like most about work? I love to help people feel better. To help balance their bodies and get rid of the pain. My favorite ailment to work on is the sinus infection, acupuncture is a GREAT way to treat the sinus.
6) What is an average day like for you? My day (the good ones) include reading, working out & meeting with clients. (Wednesdays are always a favorite)
7) Is there anything you specialize in with your business? There is – I specialize in sinus infections, knees & elbows, muscular skeletal, and joint pain.
8) What sets you apart from your competitors? Not many acupuncturists offer their clients the cold laser that I do – it is a wonderful tool to help fight infections. I also love that I have the ability to refer my clients to amazing people to help them heal (my favorite chiropractor & massage therapist).
9) Describe your dream client – A person who loves & responds well to acupuncture. Specifically anyone who comes from a referral.
10) Where can people find you or read about you? People can find me on my website: http://www.catherineparkeracupuncture.com/ also I am on the Board of Regents at Bastyr
11) Any Hobbies?? Of course! Horticulture, flower arranging judge, tennis, reading, knitting and water color painting.
12) Do you travel for work? I travel often for continuing education – as far as traveling for work, I do travel to visit my clients in the retirement home. Sometimes it is easier for me to go to them.
13) What would you like people to know about you… I have a beautiful family, a wonderfully supportive husband, three very successful kids & Rosie our family dog.
So now that you know more about Catherine Parker & her acupuncture business – feel free to give her a call and set up a consultation, right away you will see – she is the BEST!
