I was lucky enough to spend the new year in Anchorage with my silly parents (Hi guys!!) they were nice enough to drive me all over town stopping in crazy places so I could jump out and take photos. One day – my Mom was in charge of the Holga and we were outside in -22 degree temps!! No way right?!
We are still waiting for the Holga images to be developed (next week sometime), but for now here are a few of my favorites from the holiday in AK.
The moon was so great while I was there and if you look closely to the left of the image – you can see Mars!!
I love the fog! This is normally a great lookout point to see the city of Anchorage, but this night you can barely see the mountains!
This is a fun sculpture outside of the Library I could not believe the amazing icicles that formed there!!
The moose – they’re everywhere!!
This year Alaska is celebrating its 50th year as a state – and so they had an amazing ice sculpture in the city park-which they turned into an ice skating rink!
Oh gee… even the sculptures can see Russia from their back yard!!
This was the sunset right behind the airport about 4pm on January 1st – BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I love all the pictures!!! They are great. your such a good photographer… I hear you get your talent from your mom..hee hee
Barbie these are beautiful! When are you coming up to stay?
So beautiful Babs! Wow!!! Glad you had a good time, can’t wait to see the Holga shots! And yeah, I hear you got all your talent from your most beautiful, funny, talented mom too! (kay, I’ll wipe the brown off my nose now! 🙂
