These girls, Molly & Meghan… seriously could not be any cooler! I love following their adventures through instagram now that we’re pals – but more importantly, last year they got married!!  I know it’s been a few months – but I have to share their photos with you!!  Within probably the first two minutes of chatting with these lovelies on the phone I knew we would be fast friends, they are laid back, super funny and when they talked about each other or their wedding plans you could just tell they were doing this for all of the right reasons.  Love love love love!

They chose Stonehedge Gardens in Hood River Oregon, and this area is GORGEOUS!  Thank you girls for inviting Jennifer and I down to document your incredibly fun wedding, we loved meeting you and your families and hope you are still loving your images!

Liza & Taylor are the JAM!  Seriously, not only were they willing to get up at the pre-sunrise (looking good might I add), drive us over to the beach on the island where Liza spent her summers as a kiddo – but ALSO, they packed mimosas for everyone (THANK YOU!) and we had the BEST time.  Moseley the wonderdog kind of stole the show… but I mean, look at him – he’s adorable (and giant!). I love this family of three and CANNOT wait for their wedding in Montana! Gonna be a great one!!

Here are a few of my favs from Taylor & Liza’s sunrise engagement session on Bainbridge Island –

Dear Everyone,

You MUST spend at LEAST two minutes looking through these photos…. because SERIOUSLY.  The Shanghai Pearl and her gang KNOCKED THIS ONE OUT OF THE PARK! KABLOOEY! The Ookla 10th Anniversary part at the Pacific Science Center was BONKERS, let me tell you a little about it and THEN we’ll get to the photos!

First the team was lead by some hilarious actors/tour guides from their offices to the monorail given amazing Seattle facts that made you go, hmmmm….. greeted by your favorite photographer for a big group shot before heading inside for drinks with the dinos!  After an hour of cocktails in the dinosaur exhibit and a million poloroid selifies we headed into the outer space where we were served champagne drinks from a falling star (also known as a beautiful trapeze artist) and served dinner from the most amazing City Catering (yuuuuum!). There were more poloroids, more cat coloring books, more hilarious stories from our goofy tour guides and ending dinner with a birthday song and THREE CRAZY CATS jumping out of a lifesize CAKE! SAY WHAT?!?   Now… you HAVE to be saying to yourself… there cannot be any more – but if you did, you would be WRONG!  BECAUSE THEN a GIANT dancing robot and dinosaur grabbed us and lead us into the NEXT room where we had karaoke with Baby Van Beezly, AMAAAZING mini whoopie pies and a whole dessert bar, REALLY Shitty Caricatures by Deuxkla (seriously amazing!), a bounce castle and velcro suit station where you could jump and get stuck to the wall… oh yeah!!  There was  a robot lady wearing a dress of champagne, private tours of the butterfly exhibit and all of the dancing and fun you could manage.  It. Was. Neat.

Hope you love it too!!

Love,  Barbie

Sunday Morning was AWESOME! Seattle Met magazine held their 2nd annual 2016 Country Brunch & Bloody Mary Smackdown at the Metropolist – there were five restaurants competing for the best Brunch Bites and six bartenders competing for the best Bloody Mary… and YUM. Yum yum yum!  I vote for ALL OF THEM! They were so good – and there was some really cool entertainment (as always, Seattle Met knows how to throw a party!!) The Seattle Met Photo Booth, Country music by James Dean Kindle & the Eastern Oregon Playboys.  All of the proceeds of the morning went to the Ronald McDonald House of Washington & Alaska – it’s always fun to enjoy these parties, even better when it’s for a great cause!

Competing Restaurants & Bars

Barrio // Brave Horse Tavern // Ernest loves Agnes // Hattie’s Hat // LionHead // Lost Lake // Skillet // Super Six // Tortas Condesa // Meet The Moon // Sun Liquor

Ancho Reyes // Reyka Vodka // Charlie’s Produce // Metropolist // Cafe Vita // Zico Coconut Water // Frost // Nuflours

Everyone from Seattle seems to be running to Iceland as fast as they can, well – THIS Icelandic company is running here to Seattle as fast as they can, AND what neighborhood do they choose?? Mine of course. :0)  Reyka Vodka LOVES Fremont, Washington… you know it! I mean, I know why they do, quite obvious… it’s where I choose to live – it’s a kickass neighborhood.  There are trolls under bridges, statues of cool people, rocket ships – I mean it’s KNOWN for being the center of the universe, and NOT just my universe…. everyone’s.  Oh yeah, and every other building is a REALLY cool bar, like HA! and Add-A-Ball and Fremont Brewing and 9 Million in Unmarked Bills just to name a few.  Although now that I named those – like ten more have already popped into my head, you’ll just have to come check out the hood for yourself! (call me when you do, we can grab a drink!) – Now that I’ve told you about the coolest neighborhood…. let me show you some photos of the coolest bartender, meet Trevor Schneider from Brooklyn NY – he walked off of the plane into this shoot and this guy, SO hilarious!  Be sure to keep an eye out for this handsome devil in the pages of Seattle Met Magazine in the coming months, you know… because it’s cool. :0)
